- Make contacts within community
- Make connections through business, social and personal contacts and programs to the community
- Identify connections for their potential in regard to a community group program or activity
- Formulate plans for developing relationships together with relevant community members and leaders
- Respect equity requirements and cultural backgrounds of people being contacted
- Observe cultural protocols to establish positive contacts
- Follow appropriate mechanisms to establish contacts with Indigenous communities
- Address community requests for information on or participation in programs or activities to promote the community group and program
- Form and create links
- Develop contact through promotional activities, programs and activities of mutual interest to community members and other groups
- Structure activities, programs and personal contact to allow trust and understanding to develop within the group and community
- Develop working relationships in areas of common interest and goals to bring benefit to all parties
- Seek feedback on programs and community group activities from participants and community and use to modify their application
- Develop appropriate records to maintain ongoing contracts and relationships
